Maggie got a photo shoot today and I didn't want the other kids to feel left out so after picking the big kids up form school I took then in one at a time into the office/guest room/way-too-small-for-a-studio room, and had them pose. Photo coaching is much easier on other people then your own kids.

So, here is your treat!

You get to be among the first to see the pictures!

It was actually a very funny shoot! You'll see!

I KNOW! She looks WAY too old!

My assistant kept getting the hair dryer in the way! Dang him! I'd fire him but, a momma doesn't like to see her baby cry.

So now this is a funny story. I was really just planning on taking the big kids pictures this afternoon. Maggie just crawls away so I needed Jeramy to help and I thought he'd just help with Jane too. Well, she came in and asked if she could get her picture taken too. What was I gonna say? NO? Of course I jumped at the chance of a willing toddler.

I told you I had lots of pictures...

She just wanted Brady to blow the hair dryer on her!

So, here you go a post for today.

New Banner

I love my TypePad blog. I do. I want to make clear right from the start... it's me, not TypePad.

I'M GOING CRAZY!

I thought it would be nice to have a nice new banner for the fall. Sounds like a good idea right? I was going to work on it last night when I remembered that Jeramy has been asking for a new banner... so, instead of working on mine I worked on Jeramy's. It took all of 10 minutes. AND that's with one revision. He logs onto his blog and popped it right up. No prob Bob. Easy as pie. Piece of cake. You get the point. It was a snap. (that one just came to me). It was e-a-s-y.

So, today I worked on mine. I had an idea and worked it out. It took a bit longer then Jeramy's, but not too bad. I was kinda liking it...

Till I tried to put in up on my dang blog that is!!!!

After hours of resizing and having to deal with this stinking slow internet connection it's STILL NOT RIGHT!

Grrrrrr!

And yes, I have more pressing issues to deal with. Might this be called Projection? Yep.

And yes, I took to many psychology classes in school.

All is fine. Everyone is entitled to a grouchy day now and then right? I'll perk back up. I have so much to be thankful for. I'm looking past this moment and seeing the big picture. And that looks pretty bright.

I'm not sure why I felt like posting this picture? Maybe to annoy Jeramy? I'm not sure. I just felt like it. Isn't that the saddest thing? Aside, from her crawling away from me, I mean?

Or how about this! I told Jane she could stay in Puggles with me for AWANA's for a bit longer... after the first night she told me she was ready to be a Cubbie. What's up?

"I'm a toddler now. Not a baby like Noah and Elizabif."

Why are they all leaving me? And if I'm this bad now how am I gonna be when they really leave?

Writers Wednesday

Alright this was supposed to be Brady's week but, his book isn't done so It's gonna be Mary Rose again... And Brady doesn't do much writing for homework anymore. I'm not sure why? He'll get a Wednesday... don't worry.
Anyhow. Mary Rose was supposed to write a fictional narrative... she didn't. I got mad. Told her to re-write her work- right this time! Gosh darn it!
But, what she did write was so dang darling! I'm very happy I have it!

I have a friend named grace! Do you? Well, she has red hair.her favorite animal is a cat. her favorite shoes are Converse.grace and me play alot together. you see, we play alot of games. sometimes we play "dog" or we just walk around and talk. grace is good at math and coloring. We like to be partners with eachother. She is funny smart talented, extrodanary, great and magnificent! She has one dad one mom one sister and two cats. She has a great personalitity. She is nice and respects other peoples things. grace gives me good advice and I really think thats being a peace builder. She loves my hand writing expect when it's kindove messy. grace is a little shy sometimes! the way she acts makes her a shinning star. there are lots of things grace likes about me. Here is one more thing! She loves my family!

Ahhh... we love Grace too!

Ten on Tuesday

I feel Fall in the air and I don't like it....

Ten on Tuesday: Fall Edition.

1. Fall does mean Pumpkin Spiced latte's! Yummy! And the soon arrival of Cranberry Bliss bars! Double YUMMMMY!
My first on of the season.

2. Fall also means driving in the rain. Not so much fun. Although I do realize that I live in California and don't have to drive in severe driving conditions. I get it. I have it easy. I still don't have to like it.

Let's pause. I want to state right now that I am venting. Let me. It's my blog. I'm just getting it out. I know I have a VERY easy life. Just let me vent. Don't take me seriously. Laugh at me. Don't scold me for being a whinny baby. I perfected the wine. It's me at times. Take the good with the bad. :-)

3. I don't like to be cold. Fall means cold. Now we are going to have to put our new porch furniture away and not use it again till it's warm. I love sitting out there! And now I can't. It's too cold!

4. I have to cover these rolls!

5. Fall means fun holidays! I love decorating for fall and Thanksgiving! And Thanksgiving means shopping with Smelly! I LOVE shopping with Smelly! That reminds me... I have to get her "Day after Thanksgiving Shopping Rules" They are a must!

6. OH! and on chilly mornings making hot coco with tons of marshmellows! Whoo hoo! Rainy mornings, pancakes and hot coco in the "Home Sweet Home" mugs! Yippie!

7. Kids "off track" right in the middle of rainy weather. Stuck inside. Driving me up the wall just wanting to sit and watch TV.

8. Fall means rain and soon the brown or black hills will be pretty rolling green hills! I love when it seems like everything is green! And how the hills sparkle right after a light rain. And the great big puffy clouds that roll by... so pretty!

9. And Christmas is near! I love Christmas! Christmas presents! Matching Christmas dresses! Singing Christmas songs in Church! Celebrating Gods greatest Gift to us! Yeah! Christmas will be here soon!

OHhhh! That leads me to this last sad thought...

10. Fall leads to winter... and winter means my baby will be a big one year old.

That makes me sad.

I can't leave on that note...

Fall is right here and you know what that means for the Sossaman family???

I officially get a niece and a nephew! Yahoo! And Grammy and Paka will have 2 more grandchildren!

Jenny is getting married!

Big Monday...

So look who I found outside... Someone taught himself how to ride a bike without training wheels...

He couldn't wait. No matter the bike was pink! This boy was on a mission.

No need to give this guy a "boost" he has his own way of doing things...

This was a big deal for him... this guy does things in his own time. He's been wanting to learn for sometime now, but the stress was just too much. That was until Saturday... Now he's a boy on a mission. He's got a goal. And he accomplished his goal!
And he's super proud of himself!

"Don't worry about me Buddy! I'll move when you get too close!"

"Okay Momma! But, you gotta move! I don't stop so good yet!"

"Dude! I'll move don't worry. You just ride. I got it!"

... I didn't move so fast.

And just incase you were wondering... I did ask if I could take some pictures.

Yeah! Now we just have to get his bike all fixed up...

A Big Saturday!

This we actually had nothing planned during the day! YEAH!! I was able to sleep in and we planned on a lazy day before we headed out to a lovely wedding... without children! Whoo hoo! I was excited for a nice Saturday. I had no idea how eventful it was going to be!

Jeramy made another fantastic breakfast and we sat and talked... the kids were soon board with us and begged for the TV to be turned on. That was it. Something in me snapped. The something that comes out in the fall... The memories of being trapped in the house for days at a time because of the cold weather! Knowing that they were soon going to be board with being inside and driving me crazy... I did it. And I literally had to force the kids outside! I'm not kidding!

So, out we all went. Brady grabbed his scooter and the girls grabbed their bikes. Just looking at Mary Rose on her bike with the training wheels I just wondered why... Why can't our big kids ride without training wheels? Brady's bike needs new wheels and was just fine to scoot on his scooter... Until now... Until this...

I just looked at her, and asked if she wanted to ride with training wheels. Her head pops up and she looks at me wide eyed and said, "I don't think so."

"Go ask Poppa to that them off."

"Really? You think I can do it?"

"I know you can. Go ask 'em."

She rushed in super excited and nervous all at the same time. She was so cute if I do say so myself.

Jeramy was out in a bit and she was off!

She couldn't believe she was getting it!

Jeramy would give her a shove and off she'd go!

It helps when you open your eyes...

Yeah! She did it! Not without some falls and struggles.

But, she got right up and tried again.

The look of pride on her face here makes me giddy!

Yeah!

Brady is next. He's gonna get his tires fixed and soon I'll have a bike ridding post for him.
