For those of you that check this little blog on the weekends think of this as a treat... A treat just for you!
Maggie got a photo shoot today and I didn't want the other kids to feel left out so after picking the big kids up form school I took then in one at a time into the office/guest room/way-too-small-for-a-studio room, and had them pose. Photo coaching is much easier on other people then your own kids.
So, here is your treat!
You get to be among the first to see the pictures!
It was actually a very funny shoot! You'll see!
I KNOW! She looks WAY too old!

My assistant kept getting the hair dryer in the way! Dang him! I'd fire him but, a momma doesn't like to see her baby cry.
Speaking of...
Why do they have to grow up????
This is a whole lotta pictures!
So now this is a funny story. I was really just planning on taking the big kids pictures this afternoon. Maggie just crawls away so I needed Jeramy to help and I thought he'd just help with Jane too. Well, she came in and asked if she could get her picture taken too. What was I gonna say? NO? Of course I jumped at the chance of a willing toddler.
I told you I had lots of pictures...
She just wanted Brady to blow the hair dryer on her!
Goofball!
Did I disappoint?

This we actually had nothing planned during the day! YEAH!! I was able to sleep in and we planned on a lazy day before we headed out to a lovely wedding... without children! Whoo hoo! I was excited for a nice Saturday. I had no idea how eventful it was going to be!
Jeramy made another fantastic breakfast and we sat and talked... the kids were soon board with us and begged for the TV to be turned on. That was it. Something in me snapped. The something that comes out in the fall... The memories of being trapped in the house for days at a time because of the cold weather! Knowing that they were soon going to be board with being inside and driving me crazy... I did it. And I literally had to force the kids outside! I'm not kidding!
So, out we all went. Brady grabbed his scooter and the girls grabbed their bikes. Just looking at Mary Rose on her bike with the training wheels I just wondered why... Why can't our big kids ride without training wheels? Brady's bike needs new wheels and was just fine to scoot on his scooter... Until now... Until this...
I just looked at her, and asked if she wanted to ride with training wheels. Her head pops up and she looks at me wide eyed and said, "I don't think so."
"Go ask Poppa to that them off."
"Really? You think I can do it?"
"I know you can. Go ask 'em."
She rushed in super excited and nervous all at the same time. She was so cute if I do say so myself.
Jeramy was out in a bit and she was off!
She couldn't believe she was getting it!
Jeramy would give her a shove and off she'd go!
It helps when you open your eyes...
Yeah! She did it! Not without some falls and struggles.
But, she got right up and tried again.
The look of pride on her face here makes me giddy!
Yeah!
I'll make an album so you guys can see all the photos. It will be on the right side where my birthday pictures and whatever that other album is...
Brady is next. He's gonna get his tires fixed and soon I'll have a bike ridding post for him.

For a good picture of all four of them together...
Now I don't have to have then all looking at the camera. Nor do they have to even be sitting still. I actually don't even require them to be in matching shirts. I really don't think I'm picky. I just want a great on of my kids! I've done it for other people... I just can't seem to get one for me! I want a "canvas worthy" or "bag worthy" shot of all of my kids!
Actually... I've found the bag I'm gonna get! And I'll make it a diaper bag so I really only need a good shot of Mags... Although, I'd like one of all my kiddos on the other side.
Anyhow... the quest continues! Wanna see how it's going so far? This was a spur of the moment shot. I missed the lovely light by about an hour. Have no fear... I will keep trying!

I love Maggie. She is cute. She has chubby legs. Everybody loves her. And I don't care. Because I love her too. Sometimes when Maggie is sucking her thumb I put my nose on her thumb. I like when Maggie is around. She is a nice sister. I like holding Maggie. Maggie sometimes has a stinky diaper or sometimes has to nurse. And she even needs naps. Just like us. Maggie cries alot. I love how maggie smiles. Maggie will make you rub your eyes! She is so cute. Maggie is like a little baby princess. Maggie is soft and smooth. We all like to play with her. She is not always in the mood. Maggie screams and shouts ahhh yahh ba. She sometimes even breaks my eardrums when she screams. Maggie mostly sucks on everything.

About 7 years ago in Worship service I felt God telling me that the sweet little girl I was holding was going to have a voice that was going to be heard. I started envisioning her leading worship service with her dad as a toddler... Bring the whole congregation to tears with her rendition of "Amazing Grace" at the tender age of five...
and then I just decided to wait and see.
No, really you can laugh all you want, I did think all those things and I'm sure I was crying at the time too. Yes, I have come to terms with my dorkie-ness. It is what is is.
Anyhow, maybe her voice will be heard in her "prolific" writing. Wanna hear her latest song?
You
My life is perfect, but I'm missing one thing...
It's you.
I've got everything in my life.
But, you ran away from my life.
And it's not full anymore.
So, I guess I can't give you my heart.
Yeahhh yow
WHAT?????
then there is this one that she started...
Running Away
I'm in the wind
it's feel'n good
everybody's following me.
Maybe?
Where does she get this stuff? Who ran away from her? Who is she giving her heart to? All I'm saying, it better be her Poppa! But, he's not running?
And I do have more of this child's writtings... they are just too great.
I do feel like I need to mention that Brady is an exceptional writer as well. I'd share some with you all, but he writes pages and pages! He's in the process of writing a book that I will for sure to publish for you all to have one.
Maybe we'll have a 'Wednesday Writing Corner'
I'll have to think on that...
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Last night was back to school night. I know! Back to school night in August! It's crazy! It should still be summer!
Anyhow. The kids teachers love and adore them and are very excited to have them in their classes. Yes, chatty mouths and all. Can you believe Mrs. Peterson is already signing up to take part in Brady's Indiana Jones movie! He needs a horse and she's willing to provide. He was excited to stay after school and talk to her and let her help him figure the "horse part" of the movie. Go figure. Brady being in 4th grade, is now finding the transition from learning to learn, to now applying that to actual learning. Not that he hasn't mastered the basics. He has. Mr. Brady now needs to apply himself. Make no bones about it. Mrs. Peterson means business. I feel like this is gonna be a good year for Brady. He's a smart boy. That, and he knows he'll be missing out on Sam time and movie making time if he falls behind.
Miss Mary Rose. She's just beaming! Mrs. DeKloe wrote on her homework, "You are a prolific writer!!!" That made her DAY!!! Every so often she'd come up to me and tell me that she didn't mind that I made her do extra writing. And she declared that she was going to write for 15 minutes everyday after school. Even if it's not on her homework sheet! I just laughed and smiled and when I couldn't take it anymore I asked her what "prolific" meant... She stared at me with her hazel-ly green, sparkling eyes and said, "I don't know! It just sounds really good!" OH! She kills me! We did look up the word and she said she was right, "See! it is a really good thing!"
Last night before we went to school we picked up some dinner, took it to the park and had a fun few minutes playing. I was very lucky that Mary Rose was all into letting me take her pictures! Whoo Hoo! I love when she wants to model for me!
This next picture kills me!

I love my brother. He is nice. He is the best brother ever. One thing about him is he loves Indiana Jones. I like it kinda like him. Even if some girls think Indiana Jones is dumb. Brady and me get along together with Jane. Not all the time. I sometimes love joking around with him. Brady is senseitive to me. We take care of each other. Brady me and Jane are best brothers and sisters. Brady has three little sisters. I like him because whenever I am scared he helps me fall asleep. I love love love love love love love Brady. He is very fragel and special. So if you break him I will be very upset. And I will below. That means sad. BRADY IS SPECIAL! YOU GET IT? Yes! Yes Yes I get it okay. It sounded like you were sleeping.
She is a total nut ball! "he is very fragile" WHAT? Oh and the end! That kills me! "I will bellow. That means sad" Where does she get this stuff?
A little side note:
So when I read the homework I read that they needed to write for 15 minutes a night... I was wrong. Oops! She just needed to write for 15 minutes one night last week. I felt bad. Poor baby! But, I did get some great samples of her writing and her wacky sense of humor!
Here's the, "sensitive and fragile" Brady!
